Our
History

Over a decade of research at Queen Mary University of London

BioMin Technologies Limited was established to commercialise the award-winning research conducted at Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College, London.

Decades of research and product formulation focused on developing bioactive materials to help reduce and provide relief from tooth sensitivity and dentine hypersensitivity, and to strengthen and protect the tooth enamel.

BioMin® F toothpaste went into production in 2017 and is now promoted by our distribution partners around the world; BioMin® C was introduced soon after as a fluoride free version for consumers wishing to avoid fluoride but still requiring relief from sensitivity.

Both of these toothpastes have undergone examination by the National Standards Authority of Ireland and have received CE certification for the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity under ISO 13485 as recognised by the CE mark on our pack. We are also one of the few products approved by the TGA and US FDA.

The latest addition to the range of BioMin products was made with the introduction of BioMin® F for Kids to provide protection and remineralisation of children’s teeth and ensure we are able to protect the whole family.

The technology behind BioMin® can also be utilised in a variety of other dental materials some professionally already available, others still under development, from composites and restorative materials that could replace amalgam fillings, through to protective pastes and fluoride containing varnishes.

BioMin has come along way from its University inception, but is still proud to be considered at the forefront of cutting edge science and technology.
