Clinical evaluation of BioMin® F toothpaste for dentine hypersensitivity, gingival health, and plaque reduction

Method
This clinical study assessed 3 key oral health parameters: Gingival Index (GI), Plaque Index (PI), and Dentine Hypersensitivity measured via a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) in response to air-blast stimuli (0 = no pain, 10 = extreme pain). Participants were divided into three groups.
Group A
Fluorocalcium phosphosilicate (BioMin® F)
Group B
Pro-Argin™*
Group C
Placebo
While the primary focus was dentine hypersensitivity, improvements in GI and PI were also evaluated. Comparative results were assessed over a 1-month period.
Conclusion
BioMin® F demonstrated superior performance in reducing dentine hypersensitivity and improving both gingival and plaque indices.
BioMin® F showed a statistically significant reduction in Gingival Index and Plaque Index versus placebo.
Dentine hypersensitivity was reduced by approximately 90.7% in the BioMin® F group, significantly outperforming both arginine (56.5%) and placebo (23.4%).
These results highlight BioMin® F’s potential as a clinically effective solution for managing sensitivity and supporting overall gum health.
