The evidence behind our claims

At Biomin, we only make claims we can back with clinical evidence. This page explains what our claims mean and the clinical studies behind them.

Claim 1

“No other sensitivity toothpaste is proven more effective.”*

*with 4 weeks twice-daily brushing.

BioMin® F Sensitivity has been tested directly against the main categories of sensitivity toothpastes in 11 clinical studies listed in the below references. In every study, by 4 weeks of use onwards, BioMin F Sensitivity was as effective as or more effective than the toothpaste it was compared with.

Claim 2

“Clinically proven to reduce sensitivity pain by up to 90%.”*

*with 4 weeks twice-daily brushing.

In a randomised clinical trial of 75 adults with sensitive teeth, people using BioMin ® F Sensitivity had an average 90.9% reduction in sensitivity pain after 1 month. That was significantly more than people using an arginine sensitivity toothpaste (56%) or a placebo toothpaste (23%). Pain was scored from 0 to 10 when a short puff of air was applied to the sensitive tooth. Results vary from person to person(7).
