BioMin® F clinically proven to be more effective than Novamin™ in the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity

Method
A total of 60 patients were randomly prescribed three dentifrices after oral prophylaxis:
Group A
5% fluorocalcium phosphosilicate (BioMin® F)
Group B
5% calcium sodium phosphosilicate (NovaMin™*)
Group C
Standard dentifrice containing fluoride
Subjective and thermal sensitivity was assessed using a 10-point VAS score at baseline, 15 days, 30 days and 60 days of treatment.
Conclusion
BioMin® F outperforms NovaMin™ and was the most effective agent in reducing the VAS score.
BioMin® F is an effective agent for the clinical management of dentinal hypersensitivity. BioMin® F resulted in better tubular occlusion than NovaMin™.
